The Thompson's

This is the Thompson family.... Hannah, Hunter, Chris, and Jennifer. It was great that we were able to schedule the session because Hannah is only visiting from college for so long. They started out in their "Sunday best" and then switched into the casual clothes. We went outside to get a few outdoor shots and as we were walking down the street 2 huge fire trucks came barreling down my narrow street followed by an ambulance. It seemed pretty extreme as we watched all the neighbors come out of their homes to see what the commotion was about. We just kept on with our shoot. Their didn't seem to be anything going on, and in the end, Brian told me that someone called the fire department cause there was a small fire on the hillside. It sounded like something that we (in America) would stomp out with our boots :) Either way it made for some excitement during our shoot. Below is my favorite...

Below I messed around a bit adding some textures... not sure how much I like it, any thoughts?

The Evans Family

These are the Evans kids... from left to right, Jack, Sullivan, and Thomas. They were a great group :) Lots of smiles and silliness. My favorite thing is when siblings make each other laugh and these guys were great at that! It's just so cute :) They were possibly still a little hyped up from the overdose of food and sugar that happens on Christmas, but thankfully they were very well behaved. No crankiness and no sleepiness (which generally go hand in hand). So yay for a group of great kids the day after Christmas!

Thomas was giving me some killer GQ poses.
Sullivan was just laughing at her brothers cause they are so silly...

And Jack... what a bundle of energy! He was a fun silly little guy and has the cutest dimples ever.

I am not sure why they felt the need to wave, but they did and I thought it was cute :)
Family hug... wait, Jack... are you biting Thomas?? Must be something that the youngest just does...
Look closely here. It seems like he is fixing his hair in my lens, but if you look at his left hand you see he is really preparing to karate chop me, and his right hand... also in karate chop mode. Pretty silly... and required no instigation at all :)

Kevin Kesler

Congratulations Kevin! Kevin is retiring from the Navy in February from 25+ years of service! It's amazing to think of so many years in the military. I am only at year two of sticking to Brian's side through the military... 25+ years = amazing. So here are some of my favorites from the shoot. He looks pretty sharp in his uniform. I don't know who's idea it was to put white gloves with the outfit, but if I had to wear it I am positive they would not be white for more than two minutes. Kudos to Kevin for keeping the white gloves white! Kevin, thank you for your service to our country and I hope you enjoy these last two months of the Navy!

The Freese's

Meet the Freese family. They have a young little boy that you have seen on here before. I love when clients return for more :) and it was great that we were able to go to a new location. This session was done in Kamakura and even though it was a Saturday there were not too many people. It is a beautiful place to photograph. It has been so cold lately and we were all ready to get on a warm train in the end. How cute are these guys below...?

The Mates Family

These are two of the Mates boys. I love the look on both their faces. Absolutely great! I know kids ask lots of questions, but these boys asked a lot of questions. More than the usual kids that I photograph. It was fun though :) It's hilarious and cute when you get it for an hour, but I am sure he drives his parents crazy day after day with millions of questions :) We got some great shots though and all were happy!

Lee Family

Here is the Lee family with their sweet little baby boy. He was great during the whole shoot. Hardly got fussy at all and was perfect while we were taking pics of just him. Sleepy at first and then with some rousing from daddy he opened up his pretty blue eyes :)

I always love the sweet images like this where they are just in their own little world :)

Oh the comfort of mama...

I think he was trying to wink at me :)

He didn't seem to sure of this outfit at first... but then he realized how cute we thought he was in it and was content.
